Russians watch ‘Shahrzad’

A Russian television network known as Russia-Cultura is screening popular romantic Iranian series ‘Shahrzad’.

Due to its international popularity, the Russian network abbreviated as Russia-K has picked the first season of Iran melodrama series for its audience.   

Written by Fathi and Naghmeh Samini, ‘Shahrzad’ is a love story in a disturbed atmosphere set around and after the 1953 Iranian coup d'état.  

‘Shahrzad’ is comprised of three seasons. The first, second and third seasons were released in 2015, 2017 and 2018, respectively.

The first season of the series is comprised of 28 episodes with a cast team made of over 200 artists.

Considering the professional team behind the camera as well as two years spent on pre-production and four months of shooting, ‘Shahrzad’ is the biggest project made exclusively for domestic market of home entertainment in Iran.
